Enough With The Categories
Sometimes it takes 49 years before we allow ourselves to remember how ‘individual’ we truly are. Due to the nature of human interaction, we seem to spend much of our time identifying who we are, and why we behave the way to we do, by comparing ourselves to others. The more that we understand how similar we are, the more sane we feel. The more sane that we feel, the easier it becomes to forget that we are unique and sovereign creators.
According to the Venus and Mars theory presented by John Gray, each of us are issued a standard operating manual upon our arrival to planet earth. Although these generalizations regarding male and female behavioral patterns are not always applicable to every aspect of any one individual, distinguishing our masculine and feminine traits do seem to shed some light on our understanding of particular human characteristics. Identifying with other beings of similar temperament can provide a sense of fellowship.
Sometimes we just like to feel “normal.”
In the event that we may require further confirmation, there is always the option of identifying our cerebral hemisphere orientation. Categorizing ourselves according to our proclivity toward left or right brain usage can provide yet another element in understanding who we are and how we operate.
Although sometimes I may personally feel as if I may be half-brained, no one operates strictly within the right or left brain arena. Lateral usage allows us to function properly, but most people display a propensity toward ‘favoring’ one cerebral hemisphere over the other.
Thanks to the Internet, we no longer need to be psychology majors to determine the proportional weight of our left or right brain power. If one is so inclined, there are plenty of informative lists and self-questionnaires that are available in order to determine which ‘type’ you are. Most of us automatically seem to know whether we ‘lean’ toward the right or the left.
(The older that I get, the more confusing this terminology seems, until I remember that it is ‘backwards’ from a typical political reference. Of course, I am a dominant right-brained witch who leans toward the political right more often than the left, so the inherent irony is strange enough as it is.)
Contrary to popular belief, both left and right brain users have incredible creative potential. It is only in the approach that these two definable characteristics differ. There is not a correct or incorrect way to create the reality that you desire. Understanding your own level of comfort with the way you approach the creation process can expedite a desired outcome. If you attract WHAT you think about, it helps to define how you prefer to “think!”
When you share a home with one (or more) human beings, identifying the levels of right and left brain dominance among vested parties can be a valuable tool in determining the atmospheric energy moving throughout your household. Intentions and desires between yourself and your spouse (or other family members) may be similar, but contrasting approaches (in the form of left or right brain power) can produce cloudy atmospheric conditions. A signal to the Universe may lack clarity.
This phenomenon does not necessarily mean that you cannot achieve a desired outcome. It just may take the Universe longer to sort it all out.
You could move out.
Or, you could take a moment to introduce the energy of appreciation. The vibrational frequency of genuine appreciation is so powerful, that it trumps the energetic properties of all the other thought patterns floating around in the environment of your home.
Too many incompatible right and left brained frequencies that jam the signal of a shared intention can be instantly remedied with appreciation. Understand that as many beings that there are living under one roof, there are at least that many variations in energetic vibrations being offered. Honor thy differences. Love the individual approaches. Choose to appreciate the absolute sovereignty of every living being in your home, including yourself.
The disparity that defines our individualism is why we are here. Life would be boring if we were all the same:)
