Sugar-Coated Reality

There is a profound difference between a dreamer and a visionary.

Most human beings are capable of maintaining focused desire on something that they really want.  The difference between a dreamer and a visionary lies in their perception of reality.  A visionary is able to observe a wide scope of unconditional potential in their current reality, while a dreamer relies on limited concepts to explain their present situation.

Reality is often defined by one’s surrounding circumstances.  Ingrained thought patterns and preconceived ideas can alter what is actually right before our eyes.  We may only see what we have learned to expect.

Based on a dominant belief system, a dreamer views current circumstances selectively.  Observations of their present reality are most often interpreted to fit within a conceptual framework.  Judgment and opinions are used to describe surrounding events, often minimizing any potential for change.  Dreamers understand reality in terms of “what is not possible” and often sugar-coat what is there to appease their preconceived ideas of achievement.  Aspirations are consequently relegated to the realm of “unlikelihood.”  Excuses abound.

A visionary accurately observes reality without imposing an existing belief system.  There is a distinct separation between what they view as their current circumstances and what they think is possible.  A visionary uses fresh eyes and presumes nothing.

This is often referred to as “out of the box” thinking:)

By practicing this art of objectivity, a true visionary is able to expand their perception of unlimited potential.  Without any conceptual bias, reality can be taken at face value.  A visionary trusts the creative power within to achieve results with unknown opportunities, while a dreamer can only rely on preconceived obstacles.

True magic lies in the vision, my friend, and never the dream:)
